Welcome to Maya Boda. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our platform and services. By accessing or using Maya Boda, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Definitions
"Platform" refers to the Maya Boda website and mobile services.
"Rider" refers to a registered bodaboda operator on the platform.
"Client" refers to a user who books a ride through the platform.
"Trip" refers to a single ride booking from pickup to drop-off.
3. User Accounts
To use Maya Boda, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Riders must provide valid identification, driving licence, and vehicle registration details.
4. Service Description
Maya Boda connects clients with available bodaboda riders in their area. We do not provide transportation services directly; we facilitate the connection between independent riders and clients. We strive to ensure all riders on the platform are verified, but clients should exercise caution as they would with any transportation service.
5. Fares and Payments
Fares are calculated based on distance and displayed to the client before booking. Maya Boda charges a 15% commission on each completed trip. Riders receive the remaining 85% of the fare. Payments are processed through the platform or directly between client and rider as indicated during the trip flow.
6. Cancellations
Clients may cancel a trip before the rider arrives without penalty. If a client cancels after the rider has arrived or while a trip is in progress, the client may be charged a cancellation fee. Riders may cancel if they cannot safely complete the trip.
7. Rider Obligations
Riders must maintain valid licences, insurance, and roadworthy vehicles. Riders must follow all traffic laws and safety regulations. Riders must treat clients respectfully and provide helmets where required by law. Riders must not discriminate against clients.
8. Client Obligations
Clients must provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations. Clients must treat riders respectfully. Clients are responsible for their own belongings. Clients must not request trips for illegal purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
Maya Boda is a platform connecting independent riders and clients. We are not liable for the actions of riders or clients, including accidents, injuries, or loss of property during a trip. We recommend all parties obtain appropriate insurance coverage.
10. Termination
Maya Boda reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a safety risk to others. Users may delete their accounts at any time by contacting support.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
